Damghan Municipality has carried out dredging and cleaning of streams along Piroozi Boulevard to improve urban hygiene and prevent surface water flooding.
Municipal service workers are continuously cleaning and dredging gutters and streams across the city to maintain public health and urban sanitation. As part of these ongoing operations, the Waste Management Unit of the Urban Services Department at Damghan Municipality recently completed dredging work along Piroozi Boulevard.
Regular maintenance of surface water channels plays a vital role in maintaining urban neatness and preventing environmental contamination across residential and commercial areas.
Objectives of Urban Canal Dredging The continuous dredging of streams primarily aims to promote public hygiene, preserve urban cleanliness, and prevent street flooding during seasonal rainfall. Facilitating the smooth flow of surface runoffs and clearing obstructions prevents stagnant water and mitigates unpleasant odors in surrounding neighborhoods.
The dredging of the stream along Piroozi Boulevard was a key focus of this operational phase. Workers systematically removed sediment and debris from the channel to minimize the risk of blockages and water overflowing onto major roadways.
Continuous Services Across Damghan The Urban Services Department emphasizes that municipal cleaning and stream maintenance activities remain uninterrupted throughout the year. These comprehensive operations are actively continuing in Shahrivar 1405 (September 2026) across various designated locations needing intervention.
Municipal officials encourage all citizens to support these sanitation efforts by refraining from disposing of garbage in public gutters, thereby helping maintain a clean and healthy urban environment for everyone.
